Abstract

Point contacts formed by metal (steel, niobium) and high-temperature superconductors (HTS) YBaCuOx are investigated in the temperature range from the helium temperature to Tc≃70 K. The magnitude (Δ(0)∼17 MeV, 2 Δ(0)/kTc≃5.5) and the temperature dependence of the energy gap are determined; it is found that they match with the values predicted by the BCS theory in the strong-bond limit. The discovered peaks on the dV/dI (V) dependence, which weakly depend on temperature, point towards the strong electron-phonon interaction in HTS. The effects associated with a change in conductivity of HTS upon a transition through Tc are considered.
