Abstract

The behavior of the R(T) curve in magnetic fields is studied comprehensively for some HTS samples. It is found that the positive curvature of the Hc2(T) curve is less pronounced for samples with a higher homogeneity (purity), i.e., is a property of a sample. The positive curvature for HTS samples, as well as for conventional metal superconductors (B.G. Lezarev and V.I. Khotkevich, Zh. Eksp. Teor. Fiz. 18, 807 (1948), and V. I. Khotkevich, D.Sc. Thesis, Kharkov (1952)), is due to impurities and inhomogeneities.
