Abstract
Thermoelectric size effect has been studied in a homogeneous circuit containing a point contact as one of its branches. It is shown that if the condition d≪lϵ, lpc is satisfied, the diffusive thermopower and the drag thermopower in the point contact are suppressed considerably in comparison with the corresponding quantities for the bulk material. It is found that Spc(d) dependence is preserved at least up to Debye temperatures. A comparison is made with the theoretical results.
