Abstract

The Mössbauer spectra of UFe2 are measured and analyzed below the Curie temperature. It is found that the magnetic ordering produces a gradient of electric fields associated with the anisotropy of the spatial distribution of electrons around Fe atoms. The procedure for analyzing Mössbauer spectra is described briefly for the case when the energies of magnetic electric field gradient in a general form. The obtained local field parameters are discussed against the background of the works published earlier.
