Magnetoelastic mechanism of nuclear spin relaxation anomalies in low-temperature magnetic films

Abstract

Magnetoelastic anomalies emerging upon nuclear spin relaxation under the conditions of strong extraresonant linear magnon–phonon interaction are investigated for the first time for a thin film of a cubic low-temperature two-sublattice magnet. It is shown that a consistent account of magnetoelastic interaction leads under certain conditions to a highly nonmonotonic nuclear spin relaxation depending on the cubic anisotropy magnitude or film thickness.
