Abstract
First and second sound velocities along the melting curve are measured in the temperature range from Tλ to 1.0 K. The second sound velocity is shown to be described successfully by a thermodynamic expression taking into account the thermal expansion of He II. The first sound velocity along the melting curve is found to be temperature independent.
