Abstract

A universal equation describing the melting curves for hydrogen isotopes and their ortho-para modifications is obtained for a wide temperature range (from triple points to room temperatures) and pressures up to 7.7 · 104 atm with the maximum error not exceeding 3.5%. The contribution of zero-point vibration energy to the properties of isotopes is effectively taken into account in new reduced coordinates P* = P/(L0/V0) and T* = T/Ttr due to the employment of individual macroscopic characteristics.
