Abstract
The theoretically predicted effect of nonlinear behavior of the current–voltage characteristic of a superconductor–normal metal point contact is observed experimentally. This effect is associated with the manifestation of the energy spectrum renormalization for the superconductor in the elastic component of the current in the case of a strong electron–phonon interaction. The measurements are made for contacts between lead and monocrystalline ruthenium (or osmium). The experimental results are compared with the results of calculation of the theoretically expected effect.
