Abstract
The evolution of dispersion relations and phonon densities of layered crystals with a complex lattice involving a change in the flexural rigidity of the layers (noncentral interaction between atoms from the same layer) is analyzed. It is found that the evolution is accompanied by a change in localized vibrations of the “gap type,” which are due to the presence of impurity atoms in such systems.
