Abstract
The g-factors of conduction electrons in the hcp transition metals ruthenium and osmium are investigated theoretically. It is found that the behavior of orbital g-factors on the LM7 sheet of the Fermi surface is anisotropic. A comparison of the results of calculations with the data on the de Haas–van Alphen effect makes it possible to determine the enhancement factor for a number of orbits.
