Abstract

Raman spectra of the ceramic samples of YBa2(Cu1–x Fex)3Oy (x = 1–0.1) have been studied at temperatures 300 K and 2 K. The frequency corresponding to the point at which the ratio of spectral intensities I(2 K)/I(300 K) = 1 is found to depend on the iron concentration. This is in qualitative agreement with the predictions of the Abrikosov–Gor’kov theory for classical superconductors with paramagnetic impurities.
