Abstract

The components of the tensor of elastic constants are determined by the method of Mandel’shtam-Brillouin scattering of light in a chain orthorhombic crystal of CsMnCl3·2H2O. The results of measurements are used for calculating the cross sections of sound velocity surfaces by the principal crystallographic planes.
