Abstract

The frequency dispersion of the background component in Be point-contact spectra is studied. The frequency of the electron–phonon relaxation at Debye energies is found to be 3·1010 Hz. Possible reasons behind residual background are analyzed as well as the improvement of rf resolution of point-contact spectroscopy.
