Abstract

The results of measurements of the temperature dependence of molar specific heat of YBa2Cu3O7−δ (δ ≃ 0.05, 1) in the temperature range 5—250 K are presented. Different theoretical approaches used in literature for decribing the lattice specific heat of high-Tc superconductors are analyzed. A model including optical phonon modes in addition to acoustic modes is proposed for determining various parameters of the phonon system of YBa2Cu3O7−δ ceramics. A comparative analysis of the superconducting and nonsuperconducting states of the samples is carried out.
