Abstract
Far-infrared spectroscopic data on the low-frequency magnon M1 in α-oxygen are considered. The dependences of M1 intensity on the temperature and thickness of the sample are measured. The temperature shift in the M1 frequency is determined for the first time. It is shown that the shift over the entire temperature range between 9 and 23 K can be described only taking into account the dependences of exchange interaction on intermolecular spacing as well as on the libration value.
