Abstract

We studied the effect of annealing within the temperature interval corresponding to recovery stage III on the superconducting transition temperature Tc and the electrical resistivity ρn of niobium rolling deformed at 20 K. The nonmonotone variation of Tc, that we found which corresponds to a two-stage decrease of ρn is attributed to changes in the electron–phonon interaction due to the displacement of vacancy–oxygen complexes to sinks and to the growth of vacancy–oxygen clusters.
