Abstract

Under oxygen enrichment the initially nonsuperconducting DyBa2Cu3Ox single crystal (αT0 = 3.876 Å, cT0= 11.824 Å) has been found to undergo a transformation to a stable heterogeneous state including two modifications, the usual rhombic one (αR = 3.844 Å, bR = 3.895 Å) and a new tetragonal one (αT = αT0 = 3.876 Å) with coincident parameter c = cR = cT = 11.729 Å≠cT0. A possible formation mechanism of the heterogeneous state, viz., deformation-blocked rhombic phase nucleation, is suggested.
