Abstract
Detailed investigations of plastic deformation of Al–Li solid solutions with equilibrium and nonequilibrium lithium concentrations have been carried out in the temperature range 293–4.2 K. The effect of temperature on the main parameters of the stress–strain curve is studied. The temperature dependence of the yield stress and the strain rate sensitivity of deforming stress at T < 140 K are analyzed in terms of the concept of thermally activated nature of plastic deformation of the alloys.
