Abstract
The response of the uniaxial two-sublattice and the biaxial one-sublattice X–Y models to a steplike variation of the applied magnetic field oriented along the z-axis is considered. It is shown that the variation of the magnetization does not depend on the magnitude of the finite field under certain conditions (the biaxial one-sublattice X–Y model in the ground state, the initial field tends to infinity). Besides, it is shown that in contrast to static susceptibility, the dynamic susceptibility of the biaxial one-sublattice X–Y model has a jump at a certain value of the magnetic field at a nonzero temperature.
