Kinetic size effects in two-layer plates

Abstract
Exact and asymptotic expressions have been obtained for kinetic coefficients of a two-layer plate. It is predicted that their dependence on the ratio of layer thicknesses is nonmonotonic and sensitive to the nature of interaction of electrons with the boundary between the layers. A detailed numerical analysis of transport coefficients over a wide range of layer thicknesses is carried out for different values of parameters describing the bulk and surface relaxation of charge carriers.
