Abstract
An experimental setup with a cryostat based on a 3He evaporation refrigerator for studying creep of solids in the temperature range T > 0.5 K is described. First results are presented on the laws governing the creep of zinc single crystals deformed by pure shear along the basal plane in the temperature interval 0.5–1.0 K.
