Abstract

A new type of magnetic oscillations with a period inversely proportional to the square of magnetic field is predicted in conductors. The effect is generated by a force-free topological interaction associated with the motion of electrons in closed Larmor orbits about linear edge dislocations playing the role of sources of the Aharonov–Casher field.
