Abstract
Studies of the behavior of superconducting thin films in resistive current state revealed that they are not only sources of Josephson generation, but also non-Josephson generation (NJG) at much lower frequencies (106–108 Hz). A significant feature of NJG is that the generation frequency fg is very sensitive to the variation of external factors like direct current, temperature, and electromagnetic radiation. The high sensitivity of the generation frequency to external agencies can be used for creating a new class of detecting elements. In the present paper, we study the response of a superconducting film to external infrared (IR) radiation in non-Josephson generation regime and estimate its bolometric characteristics.
