LD analog optical transmitter at severe environment

Abstract

With the aim of improving the reliability of optical fibre system in the application of intense transient nuclear and electromagnetic radiations,we have researched theoretically and experimentally on LD analog optical transmitters.The experimental results show that the transmitter is capable of resistant radiation and can work properly at gamma dose rate of 8ｘ10~17/s.cm~2. Efficient electromagnetic shield can also make the device work properly in space EMP field of 6ｘ10~4/m.
