Abstract

Various types of magnetic ordering (ferromagnetic, spiral, and modulated structures) in a system of electrons and localized spins are considered by using the Fermi-liquid approach, taking the RKKY interaction into account. Self-consistent equations are derived for the order parameters of magnetically ordered phases. These equations are used in the analysis of the first- and second-order phase transitions in the Landau theory. The phase diagram is constructed, and the conditions of existence of the ferromagnetic, spiral, and modulated phases are determined.
