Abstract
Results are presented from the first experiments on interferometric enhanced scattering (IES) in a plasma in a nonuniform magnetic field. Measurements of the lower hybrid fluctuations of the plasma density by the IES and rf probe methods in an experimental geometry that models a tokamak configuration are found to be in satisfactory agreement.
