Evaluate the parameters for prevention and treatment of oste oporosis on rat models
Abstract
Objective To evaluate the i ndexes for prevention and treatment of osteoporosis on rat models. Me thods The rat models of osteoporosis were established by ovariectom y and divided into two groups: prevention group and treatment group, which were p o administered with Alenbronite or Ibinbronite for six months respectively. The bone mineral density, bi ochemical markers, bone mineral contents, physical parameters and bone trabecula e areas were measured and analyzed.Results The bone miner al density of all the rats increased significantly after administration. The res ult indicated that the bone mineral density and bone trabeculae area were of mor e sensitivity, specificity and accuracy on analyzing osteoporosis than other par ameters. Conclusion The bone mineral density is the optim al index to evaluate the curative effects on osteoporosis and the bone trabeculae area is another sensitive index too.$$$$
