On the Analysis of the Imprisonment of Prince Li

Abstract

The Imprisonment of Prince Li is the event which is the most influential to aged Em- peror HanWu. This tragedy, which appears to be caused by many incidental factors is actually resul- ted from tyranny and political strife, which is the distortion of human neture. It results in the con- templation of Emperor HanWu on his own activities. It leads to the change of his government policy from being greedy to being mercy, which is a solid foundation for the prosperity of ZhaoXuan.
