Abstract

New special functions called <inline-formula content-type="math/mathml"> G G </inline-formula> -functions are introduced. Connections of <inline-formula content-type="math/mathml"> G G </inline-formula> -functions with the known Legendre, Chebyshev and Gegenbauer polynomials are given. For <inline-formula content-type="math/mathml"> G G </inline-formula> -functions the Rodrigues formula is obtained.
