Abstract

Abstract A simple multiresidue analytical method for determination of the pesticides: terbuthylazine, napropamide, folpet, and phosmet in wine, is described. Solid-phase extraction, using ENVI-Carb tubes, is used for the isolation and trace enrichment of investigated pesticides from wine samples. Residues are determined by high-performance liquid chromatography with diode-array detection (HPLC/DAD). A satisfactory pesticide separation is achieved using Lichrospher 60 RP Select B (250 × 4.0 mm I.D., 5 µm) analytical column and acetonitrile: water (50:50, v/v) at the flow rate 1 mL/min as the mobile phase. The sensitivity of the method was determined by calculating the limit of detection (LOD) ranged from 3.8 to 4.6 ng and limit of quantification (LOQ) ranged from 12.7 to 15.0 ng, for investigated pesticides. Recoveries of pesticides from wine samples, using solid-phase extraction procedure, at two concentration levels, were determined.
