Abstract

This paper presents an experimental investigation of the shape and number of defects as well as of the luminescence intensity of the back surface of molybdenum when the front side of the sample is irradiated with laser pulses. It is shown that, in agreement with the dislocation model of the luminescence, there is a correlation between the luminescence intensity and the number of defects formed during irradiation. © 2004 Optical Society of America
