COMPREHENSIVE EVALUATION OF INTRODUCTION EFFECT AND APPLICATION PROSPECT OF NORTH AMERICA BERRY TREES IN WESTERN CHINA

Abstract

In western China, where water resource is short and eco- environment is rather fragile, tree species for afforestation are limited,so the berry shrubs were introduced from North America in the past 10 years .The introduction results showed many tree species can grow in western China and have broad prospects, so they should be popularized as early as possible. In this paper, problems and countermeasures in introduction are pointed out, and 3 proposals are also put forward.
