Development Prospects of Pulp-Paper Timber Forests in Heilongjiang Province
Abstract
Wood is materials of paper suited to big enterprise because of its fine and high pulping.Though forest is rich in Heilongjiang Province,the paper materials are severe deficient.At present,the annual output of paper and paper board is about 0.75 million tons.Self-sufficiency rate of pulp and timber is only 30%.That is to say the imports is 2.83 million m2 every year.By 2010 the annual output would have been to 2 million tons and wood consumption to 11.32 million m2 in the next five years in Heilongjiang Province.About 5 million hm2 forests need to be transformed.Land resource is abundant,which is favorable for the development of pulp forest.There fast-growing and high-yielding varieties which adapted to be cultivated on cold land.For example,hybrid larch,Populus davidiana×P.tremuloides,P.deltoidesand ×P.cathayana and Populus 1344,all of this provided good technology support for pulp forest.In a word,there was enormous room for pulp forest in Heilongjiang Province.
