Study of Uranium Plating Measurement

Abstract

In neutron physics experiments,the measurement for plate-thickness of u- ranium can directly affect uncertainties of experiment results.To measure the plate-thickness of transform target(enriched uranium plating and depleted ura- nium plating),the back to back ionization chamber,small solid angle device and Au-Si surface barrier semi-conductor,were used in the experiment study. Also,the uncertainties in the experiment were analyzed.Because the inhomo- geneous of uranium lay of plate can quantitively affect the result,the homoge- neity of uranium lay is checked,the experiment result reflects the homogeneity of uranium lay is good.
