Abstract
A change in the antiaggregation activity of fibrin monomer by its modification in helium and water vapor electron-beam plasmas was experimentally studied. It was found that fibrin-monomer modification products reduced the aggregation of platelets by a factor of 1.5 on average and that the acquiring of the antiaggregation properties was accompanied by the degradation of the native protein. It was demonstrated that the degradation process is controllable and products with a desired molecule mass can be obtained via the appropriate choice of the beam-plasma treatment parameters.
