Abstract
The influence of the selectivity of solids on the equilibrium temperatures (ET) of the heating process is evaluated. It is found that with about 20% selectivity the ET of the real solids can differ from that of the gray solids by more than one degree; which makes it possible to use the equilibrium temperatures to evaluate the selectivity of different materials.
