CYSTIC RENAL CELL CARCINOMA: AN ANALYSIS OF 11 CASES

Abstract
Objective To improve the understanding of cystic renal cell carcinoma(CRCC).Methods Clinical data of 11 cases of CRCC treated in our department,in 2001-2007,were reviewed retrospectively.Results Of the 11 cases,radical nephrectomy was done in eight,and partial in three;multilocular cystic RCC was confirmed in eight cases,unilocular cystic RCC in three.Histologically,clear cell carcinoma in nine cases,and Chromophobe carcinoma in two.All were followed for(mean) 3-61 months(27.9).Ten patients survived with tumor-free.Conclusion The outcome of radical or partial nephrectomy is satisfied for cystic renal cell carcinoma with favorable prognosis.
