Abstract
In the title compound, C(20)H(36)O(5)·H(2)O, previously studied by film methods [Vorontsova et al. (1975 ▶). Izvest. USSR Ser. Chem.2, 338-343], the H atoms have been located and the absolute structure (seven stereogenic centres) established. An intra-molecular O-H⋯O hydrogen bond generates an S(6) ring. In the crystal, mol-ecules are linked by O-H⋯O hydrogen bonds, forming a three-dimensional network.
