Chlorophyll fluorescence characteristics of Zenia insignis from different places of origin in Guangxi

Abstract

In this paper,the diurnal variation of leaf chlorophyll content and chlorophyll fluorescence parameters of oneyears-old Zenia insignis seedlings from four different places of origin in Guangxi were analyzed.The results showed that there were significant differences on leaf chlorophyll contents among four different places of origin.The content of chlorophyll a and chlorophyll b and total content of chlorophyll of Z.insignis seedlings leaves from Jingxi was the highest.Significant differences on the diurnal change of chlorophyll fluorescence parameters were found among four different places of origin.Z.insignis seedlings from Xincheng and Pingguo exhibited higher radiation utilization efficiency,electron transport activity and self-protection ability than those of the seedlings from Tiandeng and Jingxi,which adapted well to the climate of Nanning.There was significant correlation between leaf chlorophyll content and chlorophyll fluorescence parameters.Due to many influencing factors the correlation orientation(plus or minus) could not be simply confirmed.
