Abstract
In order to explicit the control ability of black earwig Chelisoches morio Fabricius on Tirathaba rufivena Walker, the predatory behavior and its functional response of C. morio adults on T. rufivena larvae in the laboratory were studied. The results showed that the relationship of black earwig and that of larvae of T. rufivena could be described by Holling- Ⅱtype, with the models as Na2- 3= 1. 2377N /( 1 + 0. 1150N) for the 2ndand 3rdinstar larvae of T. rufivena and Na4- 5= 1. 1601N /( 1 + 0. 1599N) for the 4thand 5thinstar larvae. The maximal number of the black earwig in 1 day were 10. 76 and 7. 26 respectively.
