Determination and Evaluation of Cold Resistance of Populus davidiana×P.tremuloides Clones
Abstract
Used 2 populus davidiana clones and 10 Populus davidiana ×P.tremuloidesclones as the experimental materials,the conductivity of dormantone-year-old cuttings which had been treated with different low temperature were determined by electro-conductivity gauge. Data of two indexes were treated with the singlefactor variance analysis and multiple comparison.Regression models were established about low temperature(T)to the conductivity of the clones.According to the results,the median lethal temperature of tissue of all clones was-45~38 ℃. The results showed that there were obvious differences among the clones of the ability of cold resistance.The order of the ability of cold resistance on 12 clones was 11(Gd42-1)1(CK1)2(CK2)12(Id42-1)8(Gd31-1)10(Ca42-1)3(Da31-1)9(Gh32-2)4(Dd51)7(Id42-2)6(Bd44-1)5(If71-1).
