Status of Camellia oleifera resources in Hainan Island

Abstract

In order to effectively conserve and utilize the existing Camellia oleifera resources in Hainan Island, C. oleifera populations and individuals were investigated from May 2013 to June 2014 at 33 sample plots of 15 counties, Hainan. Distribution, habitat status and characteristics of C. oleifera resources in Hainan Island were analyzed. Finally, some suggestions were put forward from the aspects of conservation, development and utilization of C. oleifera resources in Hainan Island.
