Abstract

This article describes the peculiarities of trade relations between the settled and nomadic population in Turkestan in the second half of the XIX century. The majority of commercial transactions with the nomads made not for the money but through exchange in kind. With the conquest of the Russian Empire began to change the situation, it began to be a gradual transition to monetary relations, but in the 60-80-s. basically maintained the current situation.
