Abstract

The article discusses the numerical modeling of the process of atmospheric pollutants dispersion taking into account particles settling velocity. A model of the process is described by partial differential equations with corresponding initial and boundary conditions. In deriving the model, the basic laws of hydrodynamics were used as well as a set of parameters that significantly affect the process: weather conditions; atmosphere absorption capacity; particles properties, etc. An equation was developed for calculating the settling velocity of solid spherical particles. For the numerical solution of the problem, the implicit finite-difference scheme in time with the second-order approximation was used.
