Abstract

In this paper, we discuss a chemically inert elastically deformable rock with allowance for only changes in the stress and the pore pressure: the chemistry of a porous fluid does not directly affect deformation [1]. In such a situation, chemical effects affect a change in the pore pressure and in the rock deformation. This theory has been applied for mathematical modeling of the solvent and solute transport through a semi-permeable shale.
