Abstract

The process of evaluating the performance efficiency of wireless sensor networks is discussed in the article. The main groups of functions of performance efficiency indicators such as monitoring (coverage), telecommunications and energy saving and performance stages are identified. Analytical models for evaluating the performance parameters of wireless sensor networks for each functional subsystem of the network management system and the network as a whole are proposed. Energy efficiency indicators were analyzed and the lifetime of the network and nodes was determined. The calculation of the average power consumption for the node is given. Indicators of network life based on the size and type of coverage area of the network, indicators based on the time of performance of tasks at different stages of the network, indicators of the telecommunications subsystem and integrated indicators are given.
