Abstract

The article describes the activities of a geological exploration expedition led by mining engineer K.F. Butenev, who came to the Bukhara Khanate from Tsarist Russia. The article also investigates and analyzes the secret instructions and assignments given to the members of this expedition and the mining engineers of the tsarist government for political and economic purposes. The article provides a comparative analysis of various sources and provides final conclusions.
