Abstract

The refractive index is an important parameter of the optical properties of a medium. Measurement of the refractive index of gas in the industry can be used to find several parameters related to gas purity, density, composition, pressure, temperature, etc. The refractive index can be determined using a refractometer, a tool used to determine the refractive index of a material. Refractometers can only determine the refractive index of liquids, solids in liquid, or powder. However, the refractive index of the gas cannot be determined using a refractometer. This review article discusses the structure of the optimal sensor set-up and the optimal response that has been completed gas refractive index sensors based on fiber-optic Fabry-Perot interferometers. In this study, a review of 10 articles will be published in international journals with the keywords Fabry-Perot Interferometer, Gas Interferometer Refractometer, Fabry-Perot Gas Interferometer Refractometer.
