Abstract

This publication provides an overview of domestic and foreign literature for the period from 2015 to 2020. Risk factors for the development of malignant neoplasms of the mammary glands have been analyzed. The role of the following factors is considered: genetic, chronic inflammatory and hyperplastic diseases of the genitals, reproductive function, hormonal and metabolic disorders, frustrating situations, the presence of somatic pathology, ionizing radiation, previous surgical trauma of the mammary gland. The results of some cohort epidemiological studies of the influence of these factors (both individual and their combinations) on the development of breast cancer are presented.
