Abstract
A systemic disease of the connective tissue, characterized by progressive fibrosis of the skin and internal organs (leading to their failure), disorders of the morphology and function of blood vessels, and disorders of the immune system. Systemic scleroderma (SSD) is characterized by a severe course with high activity, multiple organ damage due to systemic damage and an unfavorable prognosis.
